1. Terms and conditions acceptance

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. Privacy acknowledgement and any explicit consent to process health-related information are collected separately.

2. Eligibility and beta access

The service is an experimental beta intended for adults aged 18 or over. Availability may vary by location, and you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service is permitted under the laws applicable to you.

Accounts require approval, are personal and may not be transferred or shared.

3. Intended purpose

Visual Field Tracker is intended exclusively for experimental self-observation, personal exploration and communication. It lets you deliberately move a stimulus, record where you report that it disappears or reappears, compare user-recorded sessions and create illustrative images. It has not been clinically validated or undergone conformity assessment as a medical device.

4. Not medical care

The service does not diagnose, screen for, predict, monitor, treat or prevent any disease or medical condition. Its maps, comparisons, scores, summaries and simulations are experimental outputs, not medical reports. Do not use them to make medical or safety decisions or to determine whether your vision is stable, improving or worsening. Continue all examinations and treatment recommended by your eye-care professional.

Consult a qualified eye-care professional if you have concerns about your vision. Seek urgent medical assistance for sudden vision loss, a sudden change in vision, severe eye pain or an eye injury.

5. Experimental limitations

Outputs may be affected by the display, browser, calibration, viewing distance, lighting, fixation, attention, fatigue, technique and other conditions. On-screen dimensions and visual-angle guides are approximate. Calibration does not make an output clinically accurate or comparable with professional perimetry. Vision Simulation is illustrative and cannot reproduce subjective vision.

6. Personal observations and hypotheses

The creator may describe personal experiences, self-experiments, observations or hypotheses about the project. Unless expressly supported by an identified study, these do not establish clinical accuracy, general effectiveness or superiority over professional instruments.

7. Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate registration information, protect your password, follow the instructions and use the service lawfully. You must not present an experimental output as a diagnosis or medical report, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits, or use it to provide medical services to another person.

8. Your content and privacy

You retain your rights in information and notes you submit. You grant us the limited permission necessary to store, process, display and export that information for you. Personal data are handled as described in the Privacy Statement. You should keep an independent copy of information that is important to you.

9. Availability and termination

Because this is an evolving beta, features may change, fail or be discontinued and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for security, misuse, legal compliance or discontinuation of the beta.

10. Intellectual property

The software, design and service content remain the property of their respective owners. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the beta for its intended personal purpose while your account remains active.

11. Warranties and liability

The service is provided on an experimental, “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, reproducibility, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or preservation of data. We are not responsible for medical or safety decisions made contrary to these Terms.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use or unavailability of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Courts are determined by applicable mandatory law; where a choice is permitted, the courts at the operator’s Swiss domicile have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights remain unaffected.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the experiment evolves. Material changes will be shown with a new version date and presented for renewed acceptance where required. Questions may be sent to support@visualfieldtracker.com.
